Eternal Love - A Sonnet

On Lovers Day they had met
Eternally they’d been bound
A meeting even time would forget
One half soul another found

Next Lovers Day a child born
The perfect picture of loving touch
A family love eternal sworn
That not even fate could budge

Skin wrinkled and old, so tired
Side by side, hands holding tight
Keeping watch was he they sired
On Lovers Day and on Lovers Night

Even love so true cannot escape death’s charms
On Lovers Day they danced, embraced in eternal loving arms

A Sonnet Written for The Prompt:
"Valentines Day"
